Schedule a callMarch 8-12 has been designated as Women in Construction Week. This is a time for us to reflect on what the women in our industry have accomplished, the standards they have set, and the ceilings they are breaking. To celebrate this, Construction Dive has compiled a list of women trailblazers, groundbreakers, leaders, and mentors to be highlighted in 2021 during WIC Week.
Briq’s Pam Hummel was nominated and named one of the industry’s top women mentors for all that she has done for the construction industry and her peers over the past 30 years.
Check out a brief description of her contributions to the industry, originally posted on Construction Dive.
“Referred to as “the oracle” by her colleagues, Pam Hummel is known by many in the industry as a mentor, leader and driving force for change. With more than 15 years of experience in the construction surety and insurance sector, Hummel is a longtime member of the Construction Financial Management Association, where she served on the national executive committee and last year helped to found the CFMA Diversity & Inclusion Task Force. As part of her commitment to increasing diversity in the construction industry, Orange County, California-based Hummel focuses on making the industry more welcoming to young women and members of the LGBTQ+ community. She also has long advocated on behalf of worker mental health and suicide prevention in construction. In her day job, she is executive vice president of marketing and industry for construction financial software maker Briq. ‘No one is more passionate about making construction a better place than Pam,’ said her nominator.”
Be sure to follow along with #WICWeek2021 to join us and the rest of the industry in celebrating and highlighting our peers.
